IdealShape Review and Giveaway

I was presented with the opportunity as a SweatPink Ambassador to review IdealShape and do a giveaway (more details on that later)! I have found that it is so easy to incorporate this into my daily life! As Ironman Florida training ramps up, I’m getting hungrier but I still need to lose some weight so I needed an alternative (to snacking) to help me out. This has been the perfect addition to my daily routine.

I’ve been taking my shaker and putting the IdealShape powder in baggies to make it a little easier to get to work… I find myself drinking a shake on the way to work and then I’m good for the morning. I had been snacking a little too much at my desk and this has managed to keep me full for the morning.

It’s also been great to take in a few extra calories before going to work out in the evening. With workouts consistently once or twice in my day, 7 days a week, I need to keep fueling my body. It’s important to me though not to overly fuel my body as it reacts with instantaneous expanding ass syndrome. Can’t be doing that with another Ironman on the way this fall.

The IdealShape chocolate IdealShake is my favorite as it is just a good tasting shake. I’ve made it with both water and milk (separate times peeps), and if you want it to be a little thicker then I suggest you go with milk. I like to do that for the morning, after my morning workout to help get some protein added in my system for recovery. I also have the Orange Cream and it is not bad at all – I’ve only had that with water so I bet it would taste like an orange dreamsicle if I made it with milk.

img_6678Depending on how I feel, I may incorporate IdealBoost into my day. The training munchies are REAL folks! I’ve found that the Boost not only gives me a little more pep in my afternoon step but it curbs my appetite. This has helped me make some huge gains in keeping my calorie intake at a normal level as an endurance athlete.

IdealBoost flavors have blown me away, in a good way! They are light and refreshing and definitely a nice complement for it being summa, summa, summertime! The thin packets fit nicely in anything you may be carrying (purse, gym bag, wristlet, etc). You can empty them in a shaker with 16 oz of water, or use a water bottle to have the same refreshing drink. I’ve found I can go about 3 hours, or most of the afternoon, not needing to snack. AMAZING!

Gear Junky Thursday… Hoo Ha Ride Glide

I think everyone should know about this amazing product! With my injury, my bike situations (not having one because of the accident, getting another one, & now having both of them), and just getting back to it (on the trainer), it has made a smooth transition for me to enjoy my rides again… because let’s face it with almost 3 months with no saddle time, it can be intimidating to think about how sore will I be between my legs tomorrow?! Well, I found out… and thank goodness in an easy way (get your minds out of the gutter!), I’m talking about using Hoo Ha Ride Glide by Reflect Sports folks! Remember a while back when I won a tube of Hoo Ha from 360 Cycling Media (podcasts for cyclists – great stuff, download it at iTunes or visit their web-site) well… now since I’ve been back on my ISM Saddle again, consistently, it’s time to let you know what I think about it! 🙂

Before I get into it, let me tell you a little bit more about this product:
“The original skin and chamois cream formulated for women by women. Protects your most girlie parts from infection, chafing, friction burns, irritation, inflammation, and saddle sores. Provides healing and a lasting cool feeling so you enjoy the ride. Do apply to your nooks and crannies. Do apply to your chamois. Do apply to other skin areas where exercise chafing occurs. Enriched with barley extract, lavender, eucalyptus leaf, tea tree and peppermint oils.”
It smells great – it’s a light, refreshing, clean scent (in my opinion). You know you’re putting Hoo Ha on and it protects you as such – thick and smooth. I make sure to put it on my chamois pad in my bike shorts. Hoo Ha has been working miracles for my long, boring rides on the trainer. I’ve not had any issues at all with my girlie parts thanks to THE HOO HA! The one thing that in talking with my co-advisor and one of our male MSState Tri Team members about Hoo Ha was that GIRLS LOVE THE TINGLES! Well, this miracle cream tingles. Some guys like it too – Dustin tried it and he does not like the tingles – this is a PLUS for me because I KNOW THAT HE WON’T ACTUALLY STEAL IT like he tended to do with other products on the market! lol. There are many guys who like to use HHRG to protect their twig & berries… just sayin’ (they may not admit it publicly but they do like it and use it just like us ladies!!) And if you’re a runner, this will be great for you too! Can you say no more inner thigh friction!?!? It’s a little pricier at around 20 bucks but in my opinion, seriously worth the MONEY!

Seriously, just get it and if you don’t have it, and would like to try it, I’ll be giving away 2 – 5 packs of the On-The-Go Hoo Ha Ride Glide… I recently won one of Reflect Sports Interbike Giveaways (Thanks Reflect Sports!) and I always like to pay it forward & share something that I think is pretty darn cool! So, when I get back from Kona, Hawaii – cheering on Dustin’s brother Michael Bernatovich – Bib #1808, I’ll be selecting 2 random Tri ‘n Tri Again… followers on Saturday, October 15 at 5:00p! using Each person (as in 2 people) will have their own 5 personal On The Go’s to tri out and/or give to others… so here’s the entry process:
1.) Follow Tri ‘n Tri Again… the blog publicly. (I’m shameless, I want to see my followers grow!)
3.) Post up a picture of yourself Tri’ing on the FB Page
5.) Follow me on Twitter at TrinTriAgain
6.) Follow HooHaRideGlide on Twitter
7.) Tweet, Blog, and/or Facebook this Giveaway.
8.) Enter Michael Bernatovich’s contest on his blog – you don’t need to follow but you do need to guess his finish time at Kona (what remaining slots are left) & that’s going to be a pretty cool prize pack too! Just leave a comment with the time you’d like to select… support an Age Grouper & LOTTERY WINNER! 🙂
8.) Donate to my fundraising page for the 26.2 with Donna – 70% of ALL Donations and entries go to Breast Cancer Research & 30% goes to The Donna Foundation helping those with breast cancer with their patient care… this is important to me as you will read on my fundraising page… help the ta-ta’s this month! For every dollar, it will be an entry – just make sure you post that you donated in the comments section on here – it’s that simple. And if you tweet and/or facebook about my fundraising efforts, that will be an additional entry a piece.

(Please put each one separately in the comments section)

There’s a lot of ways to get yourself a chance at some Hoo Ha!! Tell your friends about this giveaway! And remember, I’ve packed extra Hoo Ha OTG’s for Kona so if you see me on RACE DAY, I may just have a little something for you (look for the yellow shirts with BERNATOVICH on the back)!!

Happy riding!
